How to get back on track after the feast…

No Comments Blog, How to
After the holidays I find it hard to get back into the rhythm of things. I have fell off my routine for a last couple of days.   I have enjoyed Thanksgiving meals with my family and goofed off a lot. But in 4 months I have planned  to do my 1st amateur NPC show. Oh Geezz why did I have the extra sweet potato pie, but in life you have to have balance and enjoy moments such as these.
I have devised a plan to get me back on track and prevent me falling back into old unhelpful habits.
  1. Remember why I started this journey – I always try to remember why I started taking control of my health. I did not want to be sick anymore and I did not want food to control my life. I wanted to feel better about myself inside and out. Eating a cleaner diet and exercise makes me feel this way.
  2. Prepare all my meals for the next couple of day – I weight, cook, and package all my meals for the next couple of days. So there is no excuse to eat out or eat something unhealthy. If all else fails I grab a protein shake until my next meal is ready.
  3. Make my next meal a cleaner choice or go back on my food plan
  4. Go to the gym – I never stopped doing my cardio. Some days I even do two a day.
  5. Throw away all remaining holiday food or take it to work to share with coworkers.
  6. Drink more water than I normally do – Instead of a gallon and I try to drink a gallon and 1/2.
  7. Repeat and Repeat the next day until I am back into my old routine.
These are some of the things I am doing to get back focus. Please take the time to think about what you could do to get realign with your goals over the next couple of months.  Add your ideas to the blog comments area
